ABOUT US

The Boobie Queen Company® is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting young women (45 and under) affected by breast cancer. We focus on addressing the mental health and body image challenges that often arise during treatment and survivorship.

Founded by Whitney O’Connor, a two-time breast cancer survivor and LPC (licensed professional counselor) with a passion for empowering women, the organization was inspired by Whitney’s own journey. Having faced the physical, emotional, and mental hurdles of breast cancer, Whitney created a safe and uplifting space where young women can find strength, share their stories, and embrace their unique journeys with confidence.

Through transformative programs such as BreastRest® Retreats, Mental Health Mentorship, and the iconic Boobie Crowns®, we help women reclaim their power and rediscover their sense of self. We don’t just tackle the challenges breast cancer brings; we celebrate the courage and resilience it takes to overcome them.

At The Boobie Queen Company, we believe every woman deserves to feel seen, supported, and celebrated—and to know she is never alone in her journey.

our mission

To support the mental health and emotional well-being of young breast cancer survivors, empowering them to navigate the challenges of their journey with resilience and strength.

MEET WHITNEY O’CONNOR
the Original Boobie Queen!

At just 30 years old, one week after her birthday and six weeks into her marriage, Whitney O’Connor was diagnosed with stage three HER2+ breast cancer. Her honeymoon was replaced with chemotherapy, surgeries, and a life forever changed by a rare genetic condition called Li-Fraumeni Syndrome, predisposing her to multiple cancers. Diagnosed again just two years later, Whitney faced the ongoing challenges of survivorship—mental health struggles, body image shifts, and the search for a supportive community of young women who understood her experience.

Unable to find the empowerment and connection she needed, Whitney decided to create it herself. Through The Boobie Queen Company, she established a safe and uplifting space for young breast cancer survivors to heal, connect, and redefine beauty on their own terms. Embracing her scars as symbols of survival, Whitney built a sisterhood where women celebrate themselves and their journeys, one crown at a time.

Redefining Body Image and mental health

Cancer left visible marks on Whitney’s body—a flat chest, surgical scars, radiation tattoos, and short hair growth. Rather than hiding these changes, Whitney chose to celebrate them. She embraced her scars as symbols of survival, transforming her perspective on beauty, self-love, and mental health. Through this journey, Whitney learned that healing is not just physical, but emotional, and that true self-worth comes from within.

Creating the Boobie Queen Community

The Boobie Queen Co.® was born from Whitney’s deeply personal journey as a "Boobie Queen" and professional experience as a licensed mental health therapist. When Whitney began her treatment, she quickly realized she was often the youngest person in the room. Despite leaning on the unwavering support of her husband, Chace, her mother, Diane, and a loving circle of friends, she couldn’t escape the profound loneliness of being surrounded by people who didn’t share her experience. Whitney knew not every woman was fortunate enough to have a strong support system, and her heart ached for those navigating the journey alone.

Inspired by the love she received and driven by the absence of a space for young women like her, Whitney decided to create what she had longed for—a community where no one would ever feel isolated in their fight. She envisioned a space for connection, understanding, and empowerment. A place where young women could see themselves in the stories of others, find strength in solidarity, and rise together. From this vision, The Boobie Queen Co. was born—a haven of hope, healing, and celebration.

Through her work, Whitney has cultivated a global sisterhood of "Boobie Queens," a community bound by shared experiences, mutual understanding, and unwavering support. This powerful network offers survivors the encouragement, empathy, and comfort that only those who have walked the same path can provide. Together, they celebrate strength, honor resilience, and prove that no woman ever has to face breast cancer alone.
